Love is an action.

What is love? I mean, really. What is love? Is love a reaction? Meaning you react to something someone did to or for you? Or is love a desire? A wanting. Or maybe love is simply a smile. But what makes someone smile? Love? Or happiness? Happiness. So is love happiness?

Inerteresting. (My new favorite word.) There was actually more definitions, but I didn't think they were very appropriate. =)
So according to the dictionary, love is 28 different things. But what is love to God? 'Ever thought of that? Is love really just 'pleasure'?

God thinks of love as obedience. If we love Him, we'll obey Him. It's an act. Doing something. Showing that you love (him/her/it) by doing something to prove it. You don't just love something/one and never ever ever do anything about it!

My family has thing odd little language for animals - especially dogs. My dad's whole family does it, and now my family does it. Whenever there's a cute pup, we speak in a really high voice (kind of like a puppy, actually) and squeak out, "Oo... poor pupper, he's so dumb!" Or something. We speak and pat and rub to show our dogs that we love them. In turn, they whine and grunt.
=)
Love is an action. Not a reaction. Not a desire or mistake. Love is an action.
